SOLUX e.V.
SOLUX e.V. is a non-profit association with the goal of introducing mobile solar lamps into southern developing countries.
SOLUX e.V. is a pioneer for the use of solar lanterns in rural areas. Over the last 15 years and in collaboration with aid organizations robust solar lamps were developed and successfully introduced into developing countries.
SOLUX e.V. works with national and international charitable and church organizations, international development aid organizations and commercial companies which are interested in the marketing of an innovative consumer product like our solar lanterns.
SOLUX e.V. does offer a unique workshop concept, which enables the partners to assemble solar lanterns from sets of parts in their own workshops. This educational process does train the staff and brings some knowledge and work to rural areas.

Over the last couple of years SOLUX e.V. has delivered about 30,000 lamp systems to southern countries and assembled them on site. More than 50 workshops have been set up in Africa, Asia, and South America.
On the other hand SOLUX e.V. has developed in the last two years innovative SOLAR lanterns on the basis of LED which are sold word wide as finished product to NGOs and commercial companies. The actual increase of the kerosene price and the decrease of production costs due to high efficient LED technology make solar lanterns affordable and economic for consumers.
